BVLGARI, the esteemed Roman jeweler renowned for its mastery of colored gemstones, proudly announces the official opening of a new boutique at Marassi Galleria in Bahrain on September 28, 2024. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held under the gracious patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Lulwa, daughter of His Royal Highness Prince Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, may he rest in peace. Her Highness Sheikha Aisha Bint Rashid Al Khalifa deputized to inaugurate the Bulgari store at Marassi Galleria.

Italian design is renowned worldwide for its beauty in its form, the audacity with which precious materials, colors and sublime craftsmanship are combined, the relationship between ancient and modern, tradition and innovation, qualities that characterize the Bulgari interior design concept.

The facade is a declination of the rhombus concept inspired by the one of Bulgari’s greatest icons: the Serpenti and has been realized with a sandblasting technique, and a special lighting effect bringing the magical light of Rome at sunset.  The golden light of Rome is evocative and a constant source of inspiration, and for years the unique light of Rome has accompanied Bulgari.  The emblematic Saffron color that has always characterized our stores recalls the Roman sunsets, the colors of the illuminated “Roman Palazzi”,

A visit to the store is like a journey to Rome. BVLGARI is Rome: sunlight, marble and magnificent architecture.  Bulgari has always been the brand that has been able to reinterpret the past with a new contemporary key. Rome’s glorious past and rich history has always represented a fundamental reference point both for its jewelry collections and for the architecture of its shops throughout the world. Bulgari is Rome and Rome is Bulgari, but not in a nostalgic way, rather than through a contemporary and ever-evolving interpretation. Travertine, a symbolic stone of Roman times, gives brightness and materiality to furnishings and columns, and becomes for Bulgari also a color, a symbol of refinement and elegance. There are central circular browsing counter, which have sculptured travertine top showcasing Italian craftmanship and central focal points of the main showroom gallery.

The flooring of the main central gallery is in caldia marble, while the adjoining room, reached through symmetrical portals, has a geometric pattern of circles and squares, recalling the Roman Pantheon using caldia and emerald marble, and once again paying tribute to Rome in a contemporary way.

Contemporary elegance is a delicate interplay of the past and the future. It’s all about refined luxury and attention to details, from the choice of color, texture and shape to the positioning of each element in the overall design layout. Rich silks, fine carpets, soft furnishings all work together to add warmth to uplift the space with some touches of saffron color bringing the magic of the light of Rome, reminiscent of the moments just before the sun sets and the sky is ablaze in shades of golden apricot.  There are some features which are a celebration of Made in Italy, such as a magnificent chandelier by Venini.

Bulgari showcases contemporary art and artworks from the celebrated pop artist Andy Warhol, who famously once quoted “For me calling at Bulgari shop is like visiting the best exhibition of contemporary art”, bring a vibrant touch of color.

The boutique also offers a private lounge, catering for those clients who have time to indulge in an Italian hospitality experience, which has been conceived as a flexible space.

Italian design is renowned worldwide for its beauty in its form, the audacity with which precious materials, colors and sublime craftsmanship are combined, the relationship between ancient and modern, tradition and innovation, and are all qualities that characterize the Bulgari interior design concept.   A visit to the store and the Bulgari world to discover the iconic collections and art of Italian living would certainly not disappoint.
