Luminox has been designing high-performance sport watches since 1989. In 1992, the Assistant Officer to the Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) unit for the Navy SEALs, Nick North, was asked to seek a more dependable watch for night missions and found the solution when he discovered Luminox.
